I kept putting off freedom, caught up in the cycle of "If I just do this THEN I'll finally be able to enjoy the rewards" except the minute I hit one milestone, I was already sprinting to the next. It worked - if all you care about is numerical success. I was putting off my happiness. ...until I found out I was (unexpectedly) pregnant. There was no more putting it off. I had to change the way I was running my business. I was confronted with the reality that I had been chasing freedom, instead of choosing it. Perpetually one step behind.
And the day I started to prioritise building a spacious business and enjoying the process, everything else started to fall into place. Because there comes a point where being good at what you do can only get you so far. I was damn good at building businesses and strategy work, but I hit my ceiling.
And it wasn't until I expanded into my edges that I found deep alignment. It didn't come from looking to what everyone else was doing, but looking within to what made me me.
